Welcome to The Buckstone House Coach House

Our self-catering holiday cottage in The Forest of Dean is within walking distance of The Wye Valley. We look forward to welcoming you to this hidden part of Gloucestershire, on the Welsh Borders.

Although the Forest of Dean was designated as the country’s first National Forest Park, it remains one of the best kept secrets. Situated between the Rivers Wye and Severn, this former royal hunting ground provides a magical setting for walkers, cyclists, and nature lovers.

The Buckstone House, home to Doug and Nikki Smith, is set in three acres of gardens and grounds in the village of Staunton, three miles from Coleford in the Forest of Dean and Monmouth in the Wye Valley. The Welsh border runs through the edge of the village, a stone’s throw away. The Coach House, which was converted in 2005 overlooks the lovely garden.

The accommodation is a delightful combination of antique furniture, tasteful furnishings and the comforts of modern living and consists of two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, well equipped kitchen and large airy living room. The Coach House has been designed to be disabled friendly and has a stair lift, wide doors and easy access.

Our guests comments include "Fantastic place to stay, everything you need and more" and " Wow! What a fantastic place to stay, beautiful accommodation, with an eye for detail".
