Accommodation
The Coach House was converted in 2005 and is a delightful combination of antique furniture, tasteful furnishings and the comforts of modern living. For a fuller description (Accessibility Statement) of the property click here.
As you enter the Coach House, there is a small, but well equipped kitchen, and a double bedroom with its own separate shower room.
The living room is on the first floor to take advantage of the lovely views down across the garden in one direction and over open fields to the south in the other. For those requiring assistance a stair lift is provided.
The living room is large and airy, with exposed beams and ample comfortable seating (including a double sofa-bed). Although there is central heating throughout the house, a gas fired “wood-burner” stove in the living room makes the room particularly welcoming on colder evenings after a day in the countryside. For your entertainment, there is a wide screen television, DVD player and hi-fi system. The round dining table seats four to six guests.
Also on the first floor is the spacious master double bedroom, with a king-sized bed. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, with a bath and a shower over the bath.
The owner’s carefully tended garden has a tennis court and outdoor swimming pool (which is heated and in use from about the end of May to early September) and, by arrangement with the Smiths, these facilities can be used. Table and chairs are available for al fresco dining and barbequing.
Facilities include:
Washing machine, microwave, fridge/freezer, hob, oven, toaster, wide screen TV with Sky freeview, DAB digital radio and CD system, hair dryer, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. Each bedroom has ample hanging and storage space. The owners have wireless internet connection and this can be made available to guests – though being a rural area speeds and access can be variable! There is secure storage of bicycles and facilities for drying clothes and boots.
The price of your stay includes electricity, heating, bed linen, bath towels
We are sorry, but we do not accept pets or children under sixteen and there is a no smoking policy in The Coach House.
